EBOMAF-Benin: New markets of CFAF 335 billion

On 5 and 6 January 2016, President Thomas Yayi Boni launched the important Barikoara-Kerou-Pehunko-Djougou road project of 215 Km, the implementation of which is entrusted to EBOMAF-Bénin for a total cost of 149 billion CFA francs. Together with other markets for the development and pituming of roads such as Dassa-Savalou-Djougou, the new contracts in Benin are worth some CFAF 335 billion.

The EBOMAF Group reinforces its leadership in the major work in Benin. The saga continues in a beautiful way in the land of Behanzin. EBOMAF-Benin began the new year in a band with the award of a new market in the north of the country for a total amount of CFAF 149 billion. This last market brings to about 335 billion CFA francs the cumulative envelope of road contracts concluded in recent months between the Beninese state and EBOMAS-Benin.

Indeed, the Barikoara-Kerou-Pehunko-Djougou yard opens just after the award of the Dassa-Savalou-Djougou project and its shoulder straps for a total length of 270 km for a total amount of 155 billion CFA francs as well as those of the sections of Tangbo-Zé for 17 km for 10 billion CFA francs and Ouegbo-Toffo for more than 12 km for more than 7 billion CFA francs. Other projects are currently under negotiation. The development and truncation of the roads concerned will lead to modern roads with international standards.

The presence of EBOMAS in the Beninese BTP has been most remarkable in recent years. Like the other construction sites in operation throughout the country, the bitumage of the Barikoara-Kerou-Pehunko-Djougou section is part of a Public-Private Partnership whose funding results from the operationalization of the Paris Round Table organized in 2014 to put in synergy actions between the Beninese government and safe development partners.

The launch of the Barikoara-Kerou-Pehunko-Djougou works provided a privileged forum for President Thomas Yayi Boni and the Minister of Public Works, Gustave Sonon, to salute this fine example of win-win South-South cooperation.

After Bodjecali-Madjecali-Iloua-Frontière Nigeria (already received), Come-Lokossa-Dogbo, Parakou-Wèwè (50% overall rate of achievement), Tangbo-Zé and Ouegbo-Toffo, the new fronts opened in Barikoara and Jugou are apprehended with the same training.
