EBOMAF-BENIN: A remarkable participation in SEMICA 2018
Through its Beninese subsidiary, the EBOMAF Group supported the government in organizing and successfully organizing the first International Exhibition of Mines, Quarries and Petroleum (SEMICA), from 19 to 21 July in Cotonou, sponsored by President Patrice Talon. This presence opens up new opportunities for collaboration in other sectors other than BTP in Benin.
Placed under the theme "Public-Private Partnerships for Africa's Economic TakeoffThe first edition of the International Mining, Quarrying and Petroleum Fair (SEMICA) in Benin has kept its promises. This forum, initiated by President Patrice Talon to promote other levers for the development of his country, has benefited from the support of two heavyweights of the business community in Africa: the DNGOTE Groups of Nigeria and EBOMAF of Burkina Faso. This tandem allowed the Beninese government to offer a forum for 72 hours to highlight the resources of the basement and encourage investors to become more interested in Benin's mining potential." Extensive studies have shown that the eastern and western regions of the country are full of various resources. Like other countries, Benin's basement is full of enormous mining and oil potential, whose development is not yet a reality. President Talon wants to build on this natural potential to carry out his programme of actions"has justified Samou Seidou Adambi, Benin's Minister of Water and Mines.
In its role as a partner and development player, the EBOMAF Group has brilliantly supported the Beninese government in its ambition. Not only did he offer an invaluable contribution to the organisation of the Salon as an official sponsor but he also displayed a remarkable presence by exposing his technical, material and human capabilities in the exploitation of the wealth of the basement. Representing the Group's CEO, Mahamadou Bonkoungou, at this fair, the Director of Cabinet, Prosper Bassole, welcomed an initiative of the Beninese government that will increase the portfolio of projects presented to investors." This showcase, which registers several participating countries, demonstrates the willingness of the states to deepen the development of the mining sector in general. SEMICA Benin 2018 has a special feature since other sectors such as mines or oil could take off from there. The EBOMAF Group, which is already present in the national territory through the implementation of road projects, stands ready to support the development of this country in other areasHe said. The action of the official sponsor SEMICA Benin 2018, EBOMAF, was recognized at the closing ceremony of the Salon. The Chief of Staff, Prosper Bassole, received the "Best Partner" trophy from Minister Sam Seïdou Adambi. This distinction augurs for new lines of partnership between the Beninese State and the EBOMAF Group.
