EBOMAF-BTP: Working conditions welcomed from all sides

Souleymane Bikienga, Taskeron

EBOMAF is one of the few African companies to provide a very favourable working environment for its workers. They benefit not only from adequate material and technical means to carry out their tasks but also from special attention from the President and Chief Executive Officer (DG), Mahamadou Bonkoungou. In Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin, Guinea-Conakry, employees are not indifferent to this constant in the leadership culture of their boss. Testimonials!

Souleymane Bikienga, Taskeron"Rares are the companies in the sub-region that have our capabilities"

"For more than twenty (20) years, I have worked with EBOMAF as a tasker. In the construction of roads, there is a need to intervene in sanitation works such as dalots and pipes. Since I was in EBOMAF, I can say without brows that this company is distinguished from others by the best working conditions that it offers its workers. EBOMAF is also a company that grants

(ii) the implementation of social obligations. She has always honoured the invoices of the claimants (subcontractors) and the salaries of her employees. We have excellent relations with the CEO. The taskers are regularly paid before the end of the month. As one of them, I employ about 50 people in my section who, to date, have produced more than a hundred books in Togo. EBOMAF never lacked work equipment. As soon as a material need is expressed, it is immediately satisfied. Few companies have such capacity".

Moumouni Tao, Chief of Topographic Brigade"EBOMAF has always kept its commitments"

 Moumouni Tao, Topographical Brigade Chief

"My arrival in Togo coincides with the establishment of EBOMAF in 2010 in this country. As head of the topographic section, which employs about 100 people, my activities began with the construction of the large bridges of Tanloaga (80 m) and Dontougou (60 m). EBOMAF is now regarded as a leading company in the field of construction because it has always shown itself to be better through the quality of its workers, its material and technical capabilities, and its beautiful works. This company has always kept its commitments and responded to the concerns of its employees. Moral, material and technical satisfaction is constantly at the heart of his actions. So far, no problems have been encountered in the execution of the work in this country.

EBOMAF has built the Dapaong-Ponio road (Burkina Faso border) some 40 kilometres away. It is about to complete the sixty-five (65) kilometre Tandjouaré-Cinkanssé construction site. On the Dapaong-Borgou-Mandouri road project, the work of the first lot, Dapaong-Borgou is very advanced. The eight (8) works in this section have been carried out to the satisfaction of the contractor and the riparian populations. The second batch, Borgou-Mandouri, was started with the same determination. On the Kanté-Tanjouaré axis, which is an extension of Tandjouaré-Cinkanssé, most Dalots are already built. Currently, we are in Kara City where we are doing the road bitumen and erecting sanitation works. Work is progressing well. EBOMAF-TOGO is about two thousand (2,000) workers and more than one thousand five hundred (1,500) equipment of any category. The company also participates in the training of several people in the field of civil engineering. There is no better way to take an active part in the fight against poverty in a country."

Alassane Kagambega, Chief Terrassian:"All means are available on our yards"

"My presence in EBOMAF goes back a dozen years. It was in this company that I learned everything. There came a time when I was tempted and made the mistake of going somewhere else but I quickly came back. Because the working conditions elsewhere were not suitable for earthwork tasks. When an employee in the Terrassement section is accustomed to EBOMAF's working method, which provides the best working conditions, it is difficult for him to work in another company. For a good earthmoving requires a range of materials made up of dumpsters, loaders, compactors, sheep feet, smooth rollers, etc. These resources are permanently available at EBOMAF. Which is not the case with our competitors. We are currently in Kara City to accomplish a specific mission: to build and build streets. All the equipment has been deployed so that the employees feel comfortable in order to better carry out the work within the deadlines".

Abdoul Akim Moumouni Fofana, team leader on Borgou-Mandouri:«We don't complain about anything»

FOFANA"The team for which I am responsible is one of the two that form the Topography section of the Borgou-Mandouri yard. We have an essential place in the execution of this road project. Our job is to ensure that the quotas required in the earthworks and the geometry of the road are respected. It begins with the start of work. We had started the topographical activities since 5 November 2013 i.e. the date of the opening of the site. These ends with the closure of the works. We are therefore downstream and upstream of the construction site. We are receiving full attention in the fulfilment of our mission. We don't complain about anything on this site. Each of the two teams in the Topo section operates in excellent working conditions.

Whether it is the means of locomotion or logistics, we do not miss anything. We are full workers. High-performance tools and state-of-the-art devices are available. This allows us to adequately meet all the expectations related to the construction of this track".
