EBOMAF-BURKINA FASO: Two hundred (200) million CFAF to the Burkina Faso Football Federation for the development of king sport
On the sidelines of the commemoration of the Independence Day in Dédougou, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the EBOMAF Group has given two hundred (200) million CFA francs to the Burkinabe Football Federation (FBF). This gift comes from a promise made in 2013 when the Stalons managed to rise, for the first time, to a final of the African Cup of Nations (CAN). He intervenes at a time when the national team is preparing to participate for the tenth time in the thirtieth CAN in Equatorial Guinea for which Mahamadou Bonkoungou's company will finance the stay of some 50 sports journalists.
On the sidelines of the celebration of December 11th, EBOMAF's President and Chief Executive Officer Mahamadou Bonkoungou presented a great patriotic act testifying that his company is a great craftsman of the economic independence of Burkina Faso. The fruits of the twenty-five (25) years of growth and expansion were widely shared through the sponsorship of several events marking the national holiday in general and with the Burkinabe Football Federation (FBF) in particular.
Indeed, it is the city of Bankuy that the BTP magnate in West Africa chose to keep its promise of 2013 to the actors of king sport."The rise in power of the States at the African Cup of Nations (CAN) in South Africa motivated us, as a patriot, to support our eleven national with the sum of three hundred (300) thousand euros i.e. two hundred (200) million CFA francs. Unfortunately, we did not have access to players for administrative problems in Johannesburg. We then came back with the money and seized the commemoration of the EBOMAF silver jubilee to fulfill this promise of last year",explained the boss of EBOMAF.
In the presence of FBF officials and the Department of Sports and Leisure, as well as a strong mobilization of the sports press, this act is worth its burden. He put an end to a promise that caused a lot of ink and saliva to flow."This voluntary commitment, we must point out, was a personal way to translate our legitimate pride, to take a patriotic act and to show our support for our valiant Stalons whose exploit left no Burkinabe indifferent. We've never been tempted by bragging. When we promise, we are sure and sure of fulfilling our vow. We dare to believe that the official delivery of the two hundred (200) million CFA francs cheque bodes well for a successful partnership."insisted Mr. Bonkoungou.
Chairing this cheque-giving ceremony, the Minister of Sports and Recreation, David Kabré, himself the head of the Burkinabè handball bodies, praised the patronage of EBOMAF's CEO for all sports disciplines."Mahamadou Bonkoungou and his company are examples of support that Burkina Faso sport, as a whole, needs for its progress and development",Did he pick up. For the President of the FBF, Sita Sangaré, the fulfilment of this promise is the result of a lengthy negotiation process to dispel the misunderstandings between the two parties. "From today there is no misunderstanding between EBOMAF and FBF. It's a new era that is opening up. The support his CEO has just given to the Federation will serve to develop football in all its aspectsHe justified it.
The choice of Dédougou to keep this promise is not fortuitous. First, it is the birthplace of the CEO of EBOMAF and that is where his company was born on September 6, 1989. Then, this benevolence towards the world of football comes at a time when for the first time, a Dédougou team, Bankuy Sport, enters the first division. To allow her to better take part in the championship, Mahamadou Bonkoungou has already contributed ten (10) million CFA francs to the club's budget and is committed to filling her budget deficit. Finally, the two hundred (200) million CFA francs at the FBF arrives at the moment when the Stalons are preparing to take part in the thirtieth CAN in Equatorial Guinea.
Moreover, the donor has positively acceded to a complaint from journalists to finance the stay of about 50 of them in this continental competition."We have several reasons to be happy that this promise is being fulfilled here in Dédougou. (...). My promise never lost its value. Yesterday in 2013 as today in 2014 and tomorrow in 2015, it is current and aims to raise the Floors on the roof of Africa», said Mahamadou Bonkoungou, CEO of EBOMAF.
