EBOMAF-GABON: A stronger mobilization to speed up major Ngounié roadworks

The Director General of EBOMAF BTP Gabon, Ismaël Bonkoungou, carried out a field mission to the province of Ngounié to assess the progress of work on the Lebamba-Mbigou and Yombi-Mandji axes. This visit is part of the company's approach to community management, which places ongoing project monitoring at the heart of its performance strategy.

At the 84-kilometre-long Lebamba-Mbigou construction site, the Director-General exchanged with construction managers and technical teams before travelling through several areas of intervention. This immersion allowed him to assess the progress of earth-moving, remediation, right-of-way clean-up and preparation of the various platforms, while ensuring that the quality, safety and timeliness objectives are fully integrated into the execution of the work.

In order to support this dynamic, EBOMAF BTP Gabon has considerably strengthened its operational machinery in the region. A large fleet of civil engineering equipment, including D8 bulldozers, compactors, dump trucks and other specialized equipment, is now being mobilized to maintain a steady pace on the site and meet the requirements of the project.

The visit also revealed the development of infrastructure to support the smooth running of the work. The life bases of Lebamba and Mbigou continue to develop, while the prefabrication workshops, the shaping units and the coating plant are gradually taking shape, strengthening the company's logistical and industrial capacities on the ground.

During the mission, the Director-General inspected several major technical points. The preparatory work of the radier continues at PK 5+284, the implementation of the shape layer advances between PK 8+400 and 8+800, while the preparation of the dalot deck is initiated at PK 14+628. The career at PK 19+200, which operates at full capacity, ensures a continuous supply of materials essential for the progress of the site.

The tour then continued on the Yombi-Mandji section, where the same operational dynamics are observed. Cleaning and earth-moving are progressing satisfactorily, while industrial installations, including crushing units, concrete plants and life bases, are gradually increasing in power.

Through this simultaneous presence on several fronts, EBOMAF BTP Gabon confirms its ability to conduct large-scale infrastructure projects while respecting the quality, safety and performance standards that make the Group's reputation.

In contact with the teams, Ismaël Bonkoungou recalled that the success of a construction site depends on discipline, individual and collective responsibility and strict compliance with safety rules. He also called on all employees to maintain the pace in order to ensure the optimal execution of the work.

Through this field visit, the Director-General reaffirms the commitment of EBOMAF BTP Gabon to ensure close monitoring of its projects and to support the sustainable modernization of Gabon's road infrastructure. In the Ngounié, the construction projects are progressing with determination, in the service of the unhindered territories and the economic and social development of the country.
