EBOMAF-TOGO : Lomé-Kpalimé amazes Gabonese Minister of Infrastructure

On Wednesday 16 September 2020, the Lomé-Kpalimé rehabilitation project received a distinguished host. The Gabonese Minister of Equipment, Infrastructure and Works, Léon Armel Bounda Balonzi, came to see from sight the work on this important axis linking the Togolese capital to one of the main cities of the country.

Accompanied by his Togolese counterpart, the Gabonese government's emissary and his important delegation have touched on the human, material and technical capabilities of the EBOMAF Group to implement all types of large-scale road projects.

Through a guided tour, this project, one of the flagship projects of President Faure Gnassingbé's National Development Programme (PND), was turned down in all its aspects. The rehabilitation of this section, which is one hundred and thirty kilometres long (130) kilometres, reflects the expertise and know-how of the EBOMAF Group in the conduct of major works. The enormous means deployed to succeed the bet did not leave the hosts of the day indifferent. The methodology and planning of the works forced their admiration. The EBOMAF Group, which has been mastered in the art of setting up, financing and implementing public-private partnership (PPP) projects, has built a real reputation among several states on the continent.

In the dynamic of developing its road infrastructure under the leadership of President Ali Bongo, Gabon intends to build on experienced African companies and recognized know-how. In this, the EBOMAF Group appears to be one of its potential partners. "I was greatly impressed by the operational capability of an African company. It is a great opportunity for me to have experienced all this in a presentation to judge for myself the capabilities of a company that has been operating for some time in Togo and other African countries," said Léon Armel Bounda Balonzi, Togo's Minister of Equipment, Infrastructure and Works.

From PK 00, Rond-point Todman through the three life bases and the granite quarry, the technical director of the project, Arouna Mohamed, the General Director, Oumar Bonkoungou and the Secretary General, Adama Rouamba have, in turn, responded to the concerns of the Gabonese delegation. The Commission was able to see the advanced equipment mobilized, the different human skills used for the various tasks and to measure the adequacy between the equipment and the technical choices made.
