EBOMAF-TOGO : A high-level visit to the Lomé-Kpalimé yard as a top start

Two Togolese government envoys reviewed on Wednesday, 17 June, the two infrastructure projects attributed to EBOMAF in the south of the country. The rehabilitation of the Lomé-Kpalimé road and the construction of the water retention basins in Todman, Segbé and Adidogomé, as well as the development of the various roads and networks (VRD) in the city of Kpalimé, were visited by the Minister of Economy and Finance and the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport. This high level presence on these sites marks the top starting point of the works.

Three key points have attracted the attention of Togolese government officials. Through a guided and commented tour by the President-General, Mahamadou Bonkoungou in person, the two ministers discovered from end to end the impressive material stock, the different parts of the project and especially the total liberation of the right of way.

The advance, which the company has already taken on the planning and timing of the construction site, visibly seduced the prestigious visitors. The momentum to start the work is eloquent: four concrete power plants, a very large enrobed power plant, a whole arsenal of machines and trucks of various ranges. A staff, composed of several nationalities from all over the world and trained in the realization of the major works, has already launched the assault.

From the Todman roundabout on the boulevard du 30-Août, the delegation noted the effectiveness of the start of the project with the curing of the first basin located at PK 00, the demolition of the metal advertising structures and buildings located in the right-of-way, the rapid compensation of the people affected by the project, the various roundabout observations for further modifications. Ministers noted that these provisions will make traffic more fluid in Attikoumé, Adidogomé.

In the description of the project, the head of the monitoring mission reassured of the measures taken to make this axis one of the best national roads from Lomé, the capital. These consist of channels, bus lines and their stops, horizontal and vertical signs new formula...

In short, an unusual template route. Through the displacement of the two ministers on this large-scale project, it is one of the ambitious parts of the National Development Programme (NDP) of President Faure Gnassingbé, who has just been placed in orbit in order to equip the country with infrastructure aimed at improving the living conditions of the people.
