President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema starts work on Cocobeach–Ntoum
The Ntoum–Cocobeach road construction site, a strategic for Gabon's connectivity and trade, was visited on Wednesday 13 August 2025 by President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, accompanied by Mahamadou Bonkoungou, CEO of the EBOMAF Group, the contractor.

The day began with the inauguration of the 5th Republic's first GAB OIL service station, located at the entrance to Cocobeach. This infrastructure must secure fuel supply in this border area with Equatorial Guinea and support local economic activities.

The Head of State then inspected a three-kilometre section of the site near the station, where he praised the quality of execution and the timeliness of EBOMAF. The company plans to build a 2x1 full-axis Ntoum-Cocobeach, a key link between Libreville and the border, in order to improve trade and improve road safety.

According to the authorities, this project will facilitate the movement of goods and people, reduce logistical costs and boost cross-border trade. On the spot, the president symbolically took part in the installation with the workers, illustrating his willingness to closely monitor the progress of the major national yards.

For EBOMAF, already operating in several African countries, this project is part of a regional deployment strategy, while helping to modernize Gabonese infrastructure with a view to economic growth and regional integration.
