Modernisation des artères de Lomé: The Bd du 13-Janvier regains its charm

On Saturday 12 February, EBOMAF took a major step in the rehabilitation of the Bd of 13 January in Lomé. The installation of bituminous concrete marks the end of the roadway construction. While waiting for the apotheosis with the pavements, lighting and signage, the coquetry of the Togolese capital is reinforced with this brand new, airy artery and with international standards.

The Burkinabe Group of the BTP did not do in lace to renovate the most emblematic artery of the Togolese capital. Since the start of the renovation of the Bd of 13 January of Lomé in January 2011, EBOMAS has not given itself any respite. Deploying a whole human, material and technical armada, society has confirmed all the good that civil engineering observers think of it. Ten months have been enough to bring this very degraded path back to international standards and the demands of urban modernity. The work site was completed on Saturday, November 12.

On that day, bituminous concrete came to crown the various stages related to this rehabilitation. "The roadway is finished is still the finish with the pavements, lighting and signalling," said Cheick Diarra, head of the GTAH/DECO control mission. At the level of the central police station, the roundabout of the luminous fountain represents this badge of fluidity and organized traffic in this part of the city. The speed of work, expertise and know-how now require the unanimous consent of the Togolese government and its development partners.

This is a boost of confidence in infrastructure provision after the country has faced an interruption of its external aid on the one hand and a glaring failure of enterprises in the various construction markets. As a whole, users do not disappoint. From admiration to congratulations, they are satisfied with the quality of the infrastructure. In the face of such a prowess, all of Lomé is cheerfully asking: "Why not entrust all the work of the country to EBOMAF?" Despite this massive adherence to its achievements, the Burkinabè giant refuses to be full of hope and will to crush its competitors. "Small projects are no longer our concern. We have done enough in this category. Our ambition is now to compete in very large projects with a real willingness to help Togolese national companies," said Mahamadou Bonkoungou, CEO of EBOMAF Group.

The success of the Burkina Faso society channels all attention to it. From civil society to the political opposition to the media, the focus is on EBOMAF's work. Everyone seems to be eagerly waiting for any false step that will unfortunately not happen. "We will be the first to shoot red balls on this mastodon if the quality of the works that are made is subject to bail," even the Director of Publication of a newspaper read a lot in Togo.

This is a good war in this culture of good governance. But it must now be accepted that the leader of the BTPs has been able to surround the means of expression of excellence in any respect. He continues to seduce by the regular and permanent seriousness on the construction sites. And the Bd of 13-Janvier spreads as a pledge of his ability to carry out all the great works, whatever their nature. The rehabilitation of this artery is a twofold challenge: it houses the representations or headquarters of most international organizations and large national companies; It is also regularly borrowed by the presidential procession. So to fail in his work is to blame the Togolese authorities and their donors.

Only professional conscience and proven expertise have prevailed in a challenge where no favour can give a head start on external judgments without complacency. At the same time as the Bd of 13 January improves the image of Lomé; At the same time, it reinforces EBOMAF's leadership momentum at the sub-regional level. With this won bet, the internationalization of the Group started in recent years still simmers with more convincing stripes. Through this renovation, even the most sceptical today admit the mark of the greats displayed by EBOMAS in the Togolese capital. The most reluctant to accept its know-how gradually and serenely adhere to this proof of entrepreneurial self-denial and sincerity. The laying of the bituminous concrete on the Bd of 13-Janvier has spread, once and for all, the reputation of EBOMAF throughout Togo and beyond.
