Preparations for December 11 in Koudougou: Prime Minister launches infrastructure at EBOMAF
On the return of his inspection of National Highway 14, Prime Minister Luc Adolphe Tiao launched the"Works to develop and build roads in the town of Koudougou as part of the events of 11 December 2012". The top start of these infrastructures was given on the site"Drawing and bitumening of the main axis of the parade"executed by EBOMAF in the "Red Horseman" city.
The building site of the main axis of the parade, representing Lot I of the"Work in the town of Koudougou in connection with the events of 11 December 2012"served as a launching pad for infrastructure related to preparations for the commemoration of the National Day. The choice of this site is still a nod to EBOMAF as the setting up of the amenities related to the parade is its responsibility by the decision taken by the Council of Ministers on Wednesday 28 December 2011 to award this contract to the prestigious civil engineering company founded by Mahamadou Bonkoungou. It was around this five-kilometre-long axis that Prime Minister Luc Adolphe Tiao, surrounded by members of the government and local authorities in the West Centre, opened the building ball.
EBOMAF's choice on site to launch the projects in Koudougou is explained by the fact that its execution represents the main issue of the events of December 11. The parade was the highlight of the celebration of the National Day. Without this ceremony, he cannot have a demonstration. Hence the judicious and informed choice of the public authorities to entrust lot I of the work, the most important, to a company leading in its field of activities: civil engineering. At a cost of CFAF 3.1 billion including VAT, the construction of the main axis of the parade is the main infrastructure of its size. The project will be completed within five (5) months. There is no doubt that EBOMAS will offer the city of Koudougou and Burkina Faso as a whole a beautiful two-lane, two-lane road, seven metres wide each, to mark the reassuring steps of its accession to national sovereignty." "Scenarios are already being devised for the deployment of equipment and workers in order to go quickly and well on this construction site whose execution would a priori present no major constraints",explains Jean Claude Roche, Technical Director of EBOMAF. Prime Minister Luc Adolphe Tiao, the Minister of Urbanism and Habitat, Yacouba Barry or the Minister of Infrastructure and Disengagement, Jean-Bertin Ouedraogo reaffirmed their full confidence in the ability of Mahamadou Bonkoungou's society to hold this bet within the deadlines set.
An essential claw in the preparations for December 11th
While embalming the same trumpet, the administrative and municipal authorities of the West Central Region (the mayor of Koudougou Seydou Zagré, Governor Komyaba Pascal Sawadogo) promised their support to the entrepreneurs in order to facilitate the execution of the works."After the missed appointment of 2011, the launch of these infrastructures heralds a new era for our city. We are aware of the magnitude of the task and our support to the realization of the work will be total", meant the mayor.
After the false leap of 2011 due to the social unrest caused by the death of student Justin Zongo who took their source there, Koudougou will indeed have his 11-December in 2012. This has been evident since Friday, January 20, with the official launch of the preparations for this national celebration in the capital of the West Central Region. On the road to Dédougou, where the Head of Government reviewed the implementation of the project to de-enclave the"National Grenier",Prime Minister Luc Adolphe Tiao wanted to give a special anointing to this state option to enable the town of Koudougou to meet the obligations of reception, movement or mobility, accommodation of this national holiday which will channel all socio-professional strata and the various fringes of the population of the country as well as foreign delegations.
" This work is also proof that the government wants to carry out infrastructure in this beautiful city that will serve the population as it did in other cities that previously hosted the December 11 demonstrations. This spirit accompanies the wishes of the Head of State, who now combine the commemoration of our independence with social and economic achievements. The ball is today in the camp of my brothers and sisters in Koudougou. They must mobilize and work to ensure that everything takes place so that the commemoration of this anniversary takes place in better conditions with infrastructure for the real benefit of the entire population. Koudougou must stick together to build something solid that will allow the city to play its role on the national chessboard as an average city offering important opportunities for the population and any visitor",stressed the Head of Government.
As part of the preparations for 11 December, the State budget allocated to the city of Koudougou a specific allocation of approximately CFAF 7 billion to carry out mainly infrastructure, the major of which is the way of the parade, more than half of the resources allocated. In addition to road works, there is the construction of a tidal platform or fruit terminal, a performance hall, an administrative hotel, a monument of independence and a city of living forces, some of which are already open. EBOMAF's contribution to this embellishment to make their stay pleasant does not go unnoticed. It is part of the same pattern as the achievements that stand proudly in Fada N Through the layout and the twinning of the axis of the parade in Koudougou, EBOMAS establishes the true link with the city of Dédougou where its presence on RN 14 also helps to give the city of Banky even more urbanity.
