Surprise visit of the CEO of the EBOMAF Group to the base life of Cocobeach-Ntoum

The Ntoum–Cocobeach road site was marked, Wednesday, July 30, 2025, by an unexpected but highly symbolic visit. The President and Chief Executive Officer of the EBOMAF Group, Mahamadou Bonkoungou, visited the life base at the PK10 without prior notice, accompanied by his cabinet. This downhill, carried out on the occasion of the payment of wages, enabled the first official of the Group to communicate directly with the workers.

In a sincere speech, the CEO praised the quality of the work done and urged the teams to redouble their efforts to accelerate the implementation of the project. He recalled that this project is of strategic importance to the Gabonese State and that the company, as a responsible actor, must invest fully in it: "This project is that of the Gabonese State. As a responsible company, we have a duty to sacrifice ourselves to achieve the goals. Let us sacrifice ourselves together to speed up the work," he said.

During discussions with workers, several concerns were raised, including recurring absenteeism after pay periods and the presence of unexperienced drivers. Deficiencies that the CEO strongly denounced, calling for rigorous recruitment based on local skills, to ensure safety and performance in the field. In a strong gesture of recognition and motivation, he ordered the payment of an exceptional bonus of 20,000 CFA francs to each employee present.

A gesture hailed by the beneficiaries, some of whom, evidently moved, showed their pride in working for a company that respects its commitments: "At EBOMAF, wage payments are always respected. We are proud of our employer. With this momentum, we will give ourselves even more to move the work forward. Look at yourself, we today on July 30 and the payment is effective, no company here in Gabon has ever dared to pay its employees before the end of the month. It's really encouraging frankly. In most companies we only talk about late pay, months unpaid but here we rub our hands" In the field, work is progressing at a steady pace. While the installation of the coats continues on several sections, the beams are being installed on the works of art.

A tangible sign that the project is moving towards its realization. Through this unforeseen but strategic visit, the CEO of EBOMAF reaffirms his leadership, his proximity to the workers and his personal commitment to the success of this structuring project.
