International dimension of EBOMAF: Focus of expertise, crucible of expertise

If there's one company that truly understands the opportunities of globalization, it's undoubtedly "Entreprise Bonkoungou Mahamadou & Fils" (EBOMAF). It invests in highly skilled professionals across all continents.

The presence of twelve (12) Spanish bitumen specialists currently working on the Tandjouaré-Cinkansé construction site demonstrates a commitment to cultivating excellence in the construction sector in Africa. Approximately forty European expatriates work at EBOMAF. The pursuit of top talent guides the company in all its operations. "Quality in a company has a cost. It depends on the selection of personnel and the acquisition of equipment. With globalization, these are guarantees of competitiveness that no entrepreneur can afford to ignore. We try, as much as possible, to commit to this path of excellence," emphasizes Mahamadou Bonkoungou, CEO of EBOMAF. The various projects it manages involve a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and skilled workers from a wide range of backgrounds.

Alongside Burkinabè and other Africans, French, Dutch, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Romanian, and others contribute their expertise to the company in a globalized environment. Highly skilled and experienced professionals have been brought to the various civil engineering activities. They drive performance with a commitment to undeniable expertise.

Human and material coordination is based on a strong sense of organization and management, guaranteed by new technologies. “We are one of the best-equipped companies in the West African sub-region in terms of skills and material resources. There isn't a single piece of state-of-the-art construction equipment or a single experienced civil engineering worker that escapes EBOMAF's grasp. Its CEO combines these two strengths in a way that is common practice in Europe,” acknowledges Rudolf Müller, Logistics Director.

The tasks performed in quarrying, asphalt production and application, mechanics and maintenance, logistics, and bridge construction are carried out by specialists who have honed their skills on large-scale installations and projects around the world.Following partnerships established to meet a number of requirements, such as those for piling structures, the need for proven human capabilities is frequent and ongoing. These capabilities are eloquently demonstrated by the cutting-edge technology available locally. “We work under the same conditions here as in Spain. The machines are state-of-the-art, and the collaboration takes place in a positive atmosphere,” explains Carlos Panillo, head of the Nanergou and Timbou quarries in Togo.

The reputation and renown of “Entreprise Bonkoungou Mahamadou & Fils” (EBOMAF) are being built on the skills and expertise it has developed over the years. “We see no difference between working in Europe and working here in Africa at EBOMAF.”

“We have all the necessary amenities,” says Sebastien Spelkens, asphalt concrete (BB) application manager on the Dapaong-Borgou construction site. This satisfaction with working in such good conditions is also expressed by Philippe Arbones, production manager for “Tecno Firmes,” head of the Spanish delegation in charge of fixing the asphalt concrete (GB) on the Tandjouaré-Cinkansé site: “The work environment is just as conducive as at our base in Barcelona. For this work, we rely on appropriate high-tech equipment. This allows us to give our best.”

The pursuit of quality human resources knows no bounds. The company has launched a large-scale recruitment program to seek out all the human resources capable of bringing energy, effectiveness, and efficiency to its various construction sites.

It has positioned itself at the heart of globalization to meet its demands. “To be honest, EBOMAF has nothing to envy in European companies in terms of human resources and equipment. It has all the assets to carry out any type of civil engineering work in any geographical area,” notes Thierry Jaboulet, a bridge foundation specialist and Managing Director of EBOMAF-Togo.

Under the leadership of its Chairman and CEO, Mahamadou Bonkoungou, EBOMAF is constantly seeking out top talent. It regularly conducts recruitment drives around the world.
