EBOMAF-GABON: Presidential immersion as close as possible to the action on the Ntoum-Cocobeach strategic site
It wasn't just a visit. On Friday 24 April 2026, the President of Gabon, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, chose the field. The real one. The one who sticks to the boots, the one who slows down in the rain, but says everything about the real progress of the projects. Direction: the Ntoum-Cocobeach road project, led by the EBOMAF Group.
From the giratory of the PK-40 in Ntoum, starting point of this immersion, the atmosphere sets the tone. Fine rain, teams mobilized... and a President of the Republic who arrives at the wheel himself. The gesture surprises, but above all it draws closer. Very quickly, the reception is provided by the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the EBOMAF Group, Mahamadou Bonkoungou, in person, who presents the state of progress. Here, no long speeches. Concrete.

The girratory, called to become a veritable window of the axis, receives attention. The Head of State observes, questions, insists. He wants to understand, see, touch almost. In the face of technical explanations, the requirement is clear: to deliver a solid, sustainable infrastructure that meets Gabon's ambitions. Nothing less.
Then head for the linear. From PK0 to the advanced areas to Cocobeach, the visit turns into a complete inspection. Bridges, toll stations, weighing stations, sections under development... It's all over. And on the ground, the realities appear without filter: about 40% of execution rates, despite a rainy season that necessarily slows down the pace. But the dynamics are there. Visible. On the EBOMAF side, the message is reassuring: the teams stand the course.

The President too, attentive, but demanding. He salutes the commitment of the workers and technicians, while recalling an obvious fact: the pace must remain sustained. Even in the rain. Especially in the rain.
The exchanges are direct. Sometimes brief, sometimes more technical. But always focused on the essential: quality. Road seals, safety slides, urban finishes... Every detail counts. And the Head of State doesn't let anything pass. One way, too, of printing a method: that of close monitoring, almost permanent.

Basically, this immersion says something broader. It confirms a political will assumed: to govern by action, by presence, by control of the real. The 83-kilometre Ntoum-Cocobeach road is no longer just an infrastructure project. It becomes a symbol. That's the one about the break-up. But also a commitment.

On this strategic axis, under the watchful eye of the authorities and with the expertise of the EBOMAF Group, the project is moving forward. Not always easily. Not always perfectly. But he's moving. And this may be the most important thing.
