Floods in Kunandia/Dédougou: EBOMAF CEO rescues disaster victims with CFAF 50,000,000

The diluvian rains of the past have caused enormous damage to Kunandia and Souri, villages attached to the commune of Dédougou, where the CEO of EBOMAF, Mahamadou Bonkoungou, comes from. Very sensitive to the plight of the victims, he gave them on Saturday 3 August the coquette sum of fifty (50) million CFA francs on the sidelines of the aid collected by the municipality.

Local and administrative authorities in the city of Bankuy beat the reminders of people of good will after some of its inhabitants were victims of severe flooding. The municipality organized a donation of food, sleeping equipment and cooking utensils for the victims of Kunandia. The City Council's assistance consists of twenty-five (25) bags of 100 kg of maize, thirty-five (35) bags of 100 kg of sorghum, eighty-five (85) bags of 25 kg of rice, ten (10) cans of 5 litres oil, three (3) bags of 50 kg of sugar, mats, water seals and water bags. It is estimated at more than three (3) million CFA francs.

This bit of hope to the inhabitants to the victims the fury of the waters of the night from 28 to 29 July which saw their homes and their property destroyed was reinforced by an individual benefactor. On Saturday, 3 August 2013, a son of the commune promptly responded to the call for help.

Mahamadou Bonkoungou compati to their disarray with a cheque of fifty (50) million CFA francs. He provided this important support to the people of Kunandia in the presence of the governor of the Mouhoun Loop region, Victor Dabiré and Mayor Abel Dabakuyo.

His act of solidarity and compassion was praised beyond this community. "It is a benevolence which will not be removed from the hearts of the inhabitants of the city of Dédougou from such an early age."indicated the local and administrative authorities.

As a sponsor of the Dédougou City Council, the CEO of EBOMAF has set out to join all the momentum involved in the well-being of the people.

"It was with dismay that I learned the flood that took a good part of the village of Kunandia. As a native of the city of Bankuy, we felt it was logical and necessary to make our contribution to the parents, brothers and sisters of this village. These fifty (50) million were gathered in the various channels of my EBOMAF group, including the Zinaaba hotel to help the victims",said Mahamadou Bonkoungou. The aid collected by the municipality is intended to resettle the victims and provide for them.
