Acquisition of equipment: New equipment to boost construction sites
EBOMAF's leadership in the construction sector is largely due to its ability to develop all types of new equipment annually to ensure the dynamism and performance of road works. The match between the execution of the yards and the technological evolution founded the competitiveness of Mahamadou Bonkoungou society.
As is customary every year, EBOMAF has devoted a great part to the acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment for its various construction sites. In April alone, several billion CFA francs were granted for the purchase of various vehicles. This ambitious investment aims to strengthen the company's reputation in civil engineering and to maintain its quest for excellence in road works."Quality work is based on men and quality equipment"Mahamadou Bonkoungou, CEO of EBOMAF, said.
It is with a view to ensuring the quality at all levels that three types of tanker trucks have been carrying out, day and night, for the past three (3) months, journeys between the Togolese capital and the North Togo yards. They supply gas oil with an estimated average weekly consumption of forty (40) thousand litres.
The acquisition of these tanker trucks allows EBOMAF to protect itself from dry outages and maintain a dynamic in the conduct of the works. Each has a capacity of sixty (60) thousand litres transported. Such a supply ensures the 24-hour operation of all equipment and installations.
The fuel window is not the only one to be filled. The supply of bitumen is also given special attention."A minimum of ninety thousand (90,000) tonnes of bitumen are required for daily consumption of the Kantè coated power plant. EBOMAF is distinguished from other companies by its real potential in the supply of materials.
It is very rare to see such efficiency within a company in the sub-region",explains Rasmané Ouedraogo, construction manager at the Kantè-Tandjouaré site.
Kanté's coated power plant rotates six (6) out of seven in the week. Its bitumen requirements are regularly met by three (3) tank trucks of thirty (30) thousand tons each. This bitumen tank fleet has been strengthened by new capacity of fifty (50) thousand tons each.
About ten new bulk carriers are already in service to satisfy cement and concrete work. These machines are now helping to efficiently manage the amount of cement needed to mix sand and gravel.
The supply of concrete plants, bulk carriers and spreaders is a boost for the work. The cement spreader on a site is a first in West Africa."This equipment relieves the work of the maneuvers which proves to be very difficult. With the spreader, it makes a lot of money and time. It is a tool of ease and pride in the performance of the job"says Mr Ouedraogo. Dozens of dump trucks have already left Europe for Lomé to boost supply of aggregates.
