Building "Extension Avenue Tensoaba": Prime Minister Tiao in contact with the seriousness and quality of EBOMAF

The new Burkinabe Prime Minister, Luc Adolphe Tiao, visited the construction site of the extension of Tensoaba Avenue to National Highway 3 (Kaya Road) on Thursday, May 19th. The project, being carried out by the company EBOMAF, was completed by him. He observed the progress of the work and offered encouragement to the company, which is making every effort to finish the project as quickly as possible and to everyone's satisfaction.

There is no doubt: in just a few weeks, perhaps by July 15th at the latest, the Tensoaba Avenue extension will be open to traffic. This assurance was given to the Prime Minister by the CEO of EBOMAF himself. The national leader in the construction industry is making a significant financial sacrifice to overcome the delays in disbursements in order to complete and deliver this crucial project for the urban traffic of the Burkinabe capital. Beyond the bridge and the roadway, which showcase EBOMAF's expertise, only the Kossodo roundabout and minor finishing touches remain.

Overall, the project is 86.40% complete despite numerous challenges that have hampered adherence to the initial deadline. Among other constraints, CEO Mahamadou Bonkoungou highlighted to Prime Minister Luc Adolphe Tiao those related to slow disbursements. The delay in payment has significantly slowed the execution of the work. There is also the time required to relocate some residents from the undeveloped area within the construction zone, as well as to relocate the ONEA and SONABEL utility lines. Adding to these factors is the project's complexity due to the need to carry out additional work not initially included in the specifications. Refuting any suggestion that the work had been abandoned, contrary to a malicious rumor, EBOMAF CEO Mahamadou Bonkoungou was keen to set the record straight with the Prime Minister. He stated unequivocally that "the construction site has never been abandoned and has never experienced a single day of work stoppage." With his technical team present that day, he welcomed the authorities' visit to the site, which provided a different perspective for both the government and the public. This visit by the Prime Minister, accompanied by a large delegation, highlighted the professionalism and high quality that characterize EBOMAF and the execution of the projects entrusted to them. The Prime Minister and his entourage acknowledged that the delay in completing the project was not attributable to EBOMAF, whose reputation extends far beyond national borders. Recognizing this shared responsibility between the government and the company on the ground, Luc Adolphe Tiao reassured everyone of the quality of the work and offered his encouragement to the EBOMAF workers. He urged them to do everything possible to deliver the project promptly. In response, CEO Mahamadou Bounkoungou reaffirmed his willingness to pre-finance the remaining work from his own funds. With very convincing deadlines, he set a mid-July target for the final execution of the project. Regarding the delays due to disbursements, Luc Adolphe Tiao promised to address the issue with the relevant stakeholders to find swift solutions. To the residents living near the construction site, the head of Burkina Faso's leading construction company asked for a little patience, as the work is expected to be completed within a few days to six weeks.
