EBOMAF-BENIN : The bituminous concrete already spreads on Parakou-Wèwè

PARAKOU IVPARAKOU VThe Parakou-Wèwè site has begun another turn. The 25 kilometres of cement soil already impregnated are gradually covered with bituminous concrete. This significant progress in the conduct of work is welcomed by the Beninese authorities and the beneficiaries.

At every visit to the Parakou-Wèwè yard, the Beninese Minister of Public Works Gustave Sonon does not hide his satisfaction at the proper implementation of this infrastructure. Eleven (11) months after the start of the work, EBOMAS met the human, material and technical conditions to meet this challenge. The know-how is so widely recognized that a public administration official has not failed to confess: "I spent my time selling you cheaper, but today I congratulate you".

The second field visit of the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Gustave Sonon, wanted to give all his encouragement to all the actors of this beautiful training. To date, rehabilitation work on the Parakou-Wèwè section has a laudable overall rate of execution of 40% for a delay of approximately 38%. The development of the seventy-three (73) kilometres is on three sections. Prerequisites for stripping, shaping and providing basic lateritis layer have been carefully implemented. This allowed to approach the rolling layer on the most advanced section.

PARAKOU IAfter the successful tests under the eyes of the control mission and the departmental direction of the Public Works of Borgou-Alibori, the phase of laying the coating layer, bituminous concrete (BB), is indeed launched. The top start of this new stage was given in Guinlérou about ten kilometers from the city centre of Parakou. In just a few days, the EBOMAF technical team under the coordination of Arouna Mohamed reached a distance of five kilometres in a coating layer. President Yayi Boni has already welcomed this rapidity in the construction of this important roadway.

PARAKOU IIThe various delegations who made the trip to the site all found the same arduousness at work over the seventy-three (73) kilometres of the section. The Parakou-Wèwè axis must be completely rehabilitated by an improved laterite foundation and a layer of cement soil followed by a superficial coating and then a coating of 0.14. The change is already perceived by users. They eagerly await the closure of the yard which will undoubtedly lead to the improvement of road traffic trade.
