EBOMAF-BENIN: New Minister of Public Works satisfied with the evolution of Parakou-Wèwè
A month after his appointment as head of the Department of Public Works and Transport of Benin, Minister Gustave Sonon reviewed major road infrastructure projects including the Parakou-Wèwè site. At the head of a strong delegation, he enquired about the work from end to end in the presence of the CEO of EBOMAF surrounded by his technicians.
The means deployed and the progress made convinced the envoys of the Beninese government.
The work on Parakou-Wèwè is carried out under good auspices: after a period of consumption of 26%, the site has a real rate of progress of 30%. Following his first visit to this large-scale road project of which EBOMAF is successful, the Beninese Minister of Public Works and Transport, Gustave Sonon, does not conceal his satisfaction. He was able to see how the various tasks were carried out on this work, which channels undeniable human, material and technical capabilities.
"There are no major problems to report on this site which is wonderfully changing according to the work schedule and the specifications. It is therefore the place to encourage the company and the monitoring mission to stay in this dynamic," said Minister Sonon. The beautiful beautification of the site already has an impact on the urbanity of the city of Parakou.
The head of the road infrastructure department in Benin personally reported on the impressive mobilisation of the Parakou-Wèwè yard. Technical details on the implementation of the project were provided by the construction manager, Arouna Mohamed. Both in terms of staff and equipment, EBOMAF has put double bites to achieve positive results in strict compliance with prescribed standards."We are in line with our timing.
The determination is to start at all stages and at all sections to properly complete this project," says Mohamed.
Some tasks such as stripping and widening of the track have even reached 70% on sections 2 and 3 with impregnation over more than ten (10) kilometres.
"The work done on this project goes right to my heart and proves that the country has relied on the right company to carry out this project," said Gustave Sonon, Minister of Public Works and Transport. EBOMAF CEO Mahamadou Bonkoungou reassured his host of the arrangements made at all levels to deliver the infrastructure on time.
