EBOMAF-BENIN: The first batch of the equipment arrives at the Parakou-Wèwè site
The installation of the Parakou-Wèwè site continues with the installation of machinery for the work. It is a long line of new vehicles imported from Europe that join the site of the second road market in Benin.
The first arrival of brand new equipment for Lot 1 of the Parakou-Wèwè road project reached the site. Reception a few weeks earlier, this lot is composed of graders, bulldozers, drillers, loaders, compactors, crushers, dumpsters, tanker truck, five-seat pick-up truck. From the port of Cotonou, the exceptional convoy of more than one kilometre was escorted from East to West by the police."It's not possible, it's amazing to see an African company put in so many ways for a project. Congratulations to you!"surprised a former Beninese entrepreneur. The inhabitants of the Beninese capital did not believe in them.
The forty brand new dump trucks have attracted the most attention and admiration."All this for one company is a first in Benin!"exclaimed a taxi driver.
This equipment is for the technical supervision of the site and the monitoring mission."All this arsenal that is being deployed aims at quality work. The contract period runs for twenty-four (24) months but we plan to close the yard before this period. This range of vehicles then reflects our ambitions",said Moussa Ouedraogo, the construction manager. This operation is only the beginning of the deployment of the equipment necessary for the rehabilitation of the Parakou-Wèwè section. Another batch of gear is announced in two weeks.
"EBOMAF is an African company. She is currently in Benin to accompany President Thomas Yayi Boni in his futuristic vision of offering quality road infrastructure to his country", explains Mr. Ouedraogo.
Topographic work is almost complete. The development and bitumening activities of the Parakou-Wèwè axis will soon begin. Human resources and equipment, which are being installed, are providing a quality work that meets the expectations of the Beninese authorities. The aim is to build a road infrastructure that meets international standards over seventy-three (73) kilometres.
