EBOMAF-GABON: Launch of the new Andem airport and the futuristic city of Libreville 2
Gabon is entering a major turning point in the development of its infrastructure. On Friday 28 March 2025, the President of the Transition, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, launched the work of the new Andem International Airport and the city of Libreville 2. In order to carry out these major projects, the Gabonese State has chosen a major player in public works and real estate in Africa: EBOMAF.

Gabon to set up world-class airport to boost
its economy. The laying of the foundation stone of the new Andem International Airport marks a significant step forward in the infrastructure vision driven by the highest Gabonese authorities. Designed by the internationally renowned architectural firm Atépa, this strategic book aims to strengthen Gabon's connectivity with the rest of the world. The launch of the work involved a crowd of influential figures, including the Head of Government, several ministers, representatives of institutions and the diplomatic corps.

EBOMAS is then in charge of strategic projects in Gabon. With an area of 30,000 hectares, the future international airport in Andem will be equipped with state-of-the-art airport facilities, a presidential pavilion and a large single parking lot. Its design meets international standards and standards, ensuring its competitiveness and attractiveness. The new airport is expected to create a new city like Diamniadio in Senegal with the construction of Blaise Diagne International Airport.
Libreville 2: a green and connected city

Alongside this airport infrastructure, EBOMAS is committed to the construction of Libreville 2, a futuristic city designed as a model of sustainable development and intelligent urban planning. Located about 20 kilometres from the capital, it will extend over 13,000 hectares and will house an "agropole", an economic area specialized in the processing, marketing and export of agricultural products. This initiative aims to strengthen the agri-food value chain while promoting better linkages between producers, processing industries and markets.

Incorporating modern roads, transformation units, research centres and storage spaces, Libreville 2 will be connected to the capital by a modern train, facilitating travel and energizing the local economy. Its architectural concept is based on a perfect harmony between modernity and respect for the ecosystem, with a green belt, parks and vast green spaces that promote a healthy and soothing living environment.
EBOMAF: African-wide know-how
The choice of EBOMAF to lead these ambitious projects is explained by its proven expertise and remarkable achievements across the continent. From the construction of the airports of San Pedro and Korhogo in Côte d'Ivoire to the development of the Zone d'Activités Commerciales et Administratives (ZACA) in Burkina Faso, the company led by Mahamadou Bonkoungou has been able to impose its know-how and efficiency in the implementation of large-scale projects in several countries.
