EBOMAF-TOGO: The work of Pya-Sarakawa-Kantè is starting its last turn
Of the 65 km of the Pya-Sarakawa-Kantè road development and construction project, only 18 km remains to be asphalted. This is the observation made on Thursday 12 May 2022 during a visit to the construction site of the President and Chief Executive Officer of the EBOMAF Group, Mahamadou Bonkoungou. Accompanied by a strong delegation, he was able to touch the reality of the field. From PK 00 to Pya (Kara) through the large 100-metre bridge from Sarakawa and the toll area, the CEO gave firm instructions to close the site as quickly as possible.

About 20 kilometres south-west of Kantè, the spins of EBOMAF machinery create a special atmosphere in this area dedicated exclusively to agriculture and tourism. Equipment of all kinds is mobilized throughout the section. This impressive deployment shows a reassuring picture of the execution of the project at any visitor.

According to the Head of Mission, Amadou Niangadou, this site review of the CEO of the EBOMAF Group will give a boost to the work. Especially since this project has long been confronted with serious social crises mainly related to the exploitation of the granitic quarry of Lassa in the Kozah prefecture.

This lack of will on the part of the local authorities has led to the closure of work for more than three years. The Head of Mission expressed satisfaction with the CEO's inspection tour and promised to ensure that the instructions received were followed.

Mahamadou Bonkoungou, as the first manager of the successful company, has consistently indicated new and more incentived directions to boost the work. These include the strengthening of equipment and personnel specialized in the toll area and the provision of fuel and materials in real time.
Located about 500 km from the capital, Lomé, the Pya-Sarakawa-Kantè project launched in 2016 in northern Togo, is now part of the government's emergency work.
