EBOMAF-TOGO: The work of the basins is going well
Saturday 10 February 2024 was a special day for the work of the largest Lomé-Kpalimé project basin. This work, which covers a superfie of 4.3 hectares, was the subject of a visit by the President and Chief Executive Officer of the EBOMAF group, Mahamadou Bonkoungou, in order to boost this related project. Located at the PK10 of the Lomé-Kpalimé project, this basin is supposed to collect all runoff water from the Zanguera and Adidogomé districts.

A few months from the rainy season, the BTP magnate is determined to take the bull by the horns. Its descent on the ground allowed to adopt a new schedule to boost the work. The subcontractor engaged in the task has been discharged from certain activities such as excavation, curing of the area and the supply of protective and paving concrete for which it has real difficulties in terms of progress.

In order to speed up the work, the CEO worked to redefine the roles. From now on, it is up to the construction manager, Arouna Mohamed and his teams to complete the tasks formerly assigned to the subcontracting company. To this end, more than ten (10) excavators, one (1) concrete pump, toupies, dump trucks and two (2) concrete plants were put at their disposal. A seasoned staff also stands by their side for the use of the equipment.

It is envisaged that the water collected in the various basins will be evacuated to the sea. To avoid possible flooding, the Togolese government has put the means to prevent the adverse effects of the weather in parts of the capital. For example, evacuation pumps were installed on the first three basins from PK 00. To date, it is a satisfaction that is read on the face of the first head of the EBOMAF Group. Infrastructure meets all expectations. The toll also operates smoothly two months after its inauguration.
