Impact of the RN 14: A bit of sanitation for the surrounding communities

Pending the construction of basic social services (e.g. school and health centre closures, water retention) in the localities crossed by RN 14, they can already pride themselves on sanitation works. In many respects, the erection of these evacuation channels contributes to the improvement of the living conditions of the populations concerned.

From PK 00 to PK 130, there are one hundred and fifty (150) works of art and sanitation between the cities of the Red Cavalier and Bankuy. Channels, dalots and bridges are an integral part of RN 14. Their erection is part of the concern to ensure the sustainability of the infrastructure in general and to bequeath an embryo a system of stormwater discharge in the localities crossed in particular.

The successful company put the double bites in drainage in Koudougou, Goundi, Ténado, Koulkudi, Mouhou-Fleuve, Cheriba, Dédougou. In addition to the two urban communes that form the starting points and the end of the construction site, rural communities benefit from several hundred metres of channels. In the city of Bankuy, part of the work is entrusted to a subcontractor. This task delegation offers a employability of the local youth who strive to build one of the longest evacuation networks in the city. This one leaves from downtown to the river. The same applies to the Red Horse City.

From the beginning of the road project until the exit of the city, i.e. from the Avenue President Maurice-Yaméogo, the two edges of the road are bounded by wide and deep channels.

Remediation works contribute significantly to the urbanity of riparian communities. In addition to the road axis, which has been modernised to provide traffic comfort and ensure road safety, it is clear that the channels have a positive impact on the population. This is a very important part of the spin-off of RN 14. They already provide an impetus to improve the environment for living and preventing flooding, which could inspire the local communities that benefit. The fact that it is the local labour force which is generally used to erect these channels opens up prospects for a peaceful relay by the municipal councils.
