The villages on the Dapaong-Borgou axis do not only benefit from the construction of a modern road. In addition to this resurgence, which greatly eases their region, they are receiving a number of services to improve their living conditions.
The development and construction of the Dapaong-Borgou road is a real contribution to the fight against poverty. This infrastructure, which is already making significant progress, pays particular attention to riparian populations. The modernisation of this section will facilitate and boost trade; social investment will have an impact on income-generating activities. "A road project is a whole. Its design pursues the main objective of promoting the welfare of beneficiary populations. Apart from the road itself, there is a set of other activities that always accompany the main work.", explains Samba Mody Ndiaye, Director of EBOMAF-Togo. On a visit to the site on Sunday, November 3, the CEO of EBOMAF marked a halt in the construction of the site.
One hundred and fifty (150) hangars are planned to replace paillottes and makeshift stalls in village markets. Five kilometers from Dapaong, in Poundjouaré more precisely, this is an observation that imposes on any road user. Shops and commercial areas are made of final materials. In a very advanced phase, they already arouse the joy of the inhabitants of Pana, Naki East, etc. Gradually, the market places in these localities are modernizing at the same time as the road works are moving forward. While waiting for the efficiency of the one hundred and fifty (150) hangars to offer more comfort to markets along the axis, their construction is a source of local employability.
This task is an integral part of the Dapaong-Borgou road project. Its realization relies on the inhabitants for the labour force. "The construction of this road is an of of relief for us residents. I don't have any trouble going to Dapaong anymore. In addition to this, I gain something as a maneuver to build the hangars of my village.", welcomes a resident of Pana.
