EBOMAF in North Benin: Impressive equipment deployed on site

"Miyabo" or "Good Arrival" in Beninese national language. It is by this simple but meaningful word that the people, through shouts of joy, welcomed the material deployment of EBOMAF on the construction site of the Bodjecali-Madecali-Illua-Frontier Nigeria road. It took two (2) days to reach the drop point of the impressive convoy. The nature of the equipment already shows the undertaking of the successful undertaking to hold the work in time.

In order to carry out its first construction project in Benin, EBOMAS did not leeve on the means. As usual, Mahamadou Bonkoungou, President and Chief Executive Officer (DG), did not do in lace for the execution of his first road project in this country. He was surrounded by a material that does not matter: modern and state-of-the-art technology. Moreover, it is the opinion of all Beninese observers, including a highly respected public works engineer who could not prevent himself from admitting: "I have never thought, for a moment, that an African company alone can own such an important park." This appreciation shone brilliantly throughout the procession that crossed the largest cities in the northern region of Benin. A permanent and regular crowding of men, marked by stops, revealed the abilities. This led to an unemployed young driver pushing a relief of: "We finally have work!"

This wind of hope blew on the way from Benin's border with Togo. Applications for employment were even registered during the passage of the convoy. The technical director of the Bodjecali-Madecali-Illua-Frontière Nigeria Road Project, head of the convoy, was overstretched. A week after the trip, he said he had already registered eighty twelve (92) agents of all categories: security officers, heavy-duty drivers, technicians, engineers... "We had, for the time being, detained security officers from the terrorists and some drivers of heavy vehicles and Beninese works," said Mr. Josué Gbedema.

After having received his two-week guard of equipment stationed at the technical base in preparation, the chief of security was able to hold his tears: "I will soon be 60 years old, but this is the first time I have received a salary in my life. Thank you President Yayi Boni for giving me work, synonymous with dignity". This second-age man, a vindictor of his condition, hoped no better. EBOMAF's salaries hold the wildest dreams. Even the most skeptical people who did not believe in such a reward promised at the start of work last February are beginning to rejoice.

Pending the installation of the control office, the company has already adopted its planning to maximize the work from the Nigerian border to Malanville, a location recognized as a major commercial hub. A few months from the rainy season, EBOMAF wants to avoid the monsoon nightmare to the people of Iloua. "A considerable number of dumpsters and other equipment will soon invade the construction site to allow the rapid advancement of earthworks and many other civil engineering activities," said CEO Mahamadou Bonkoungou. While paying tribute to the Beninese authorities for relying on an African company to express its capabilities, he reassured them to put all the necessary means "to prove that Africa can count on its sons in its development challenge".
