Togo's capital under construction: EBOMAS changes the face of Lomé

The inhabitants of Kodjoviakopé, Nyikonakpoè, Hanukopé, Décon and Be in the Togolese capital do not hide their joy. Their neighbourhoods have married a new face since ambitious urban development work was entrusted to the Burkinabé Group of Public Works, Company Bonkoungou Mahamadou and Sons (EBOMAF). The good conduct of the site continues to surprise with the means deployed and the quality of the work under construction. The renovation of Boulevard 13-Janvier in Lomé has been a spectacular step forward in recent days. Launched on 16 January 2011 and entrusted to the Burundian giant of the BTP, EBOMAS, they are being executed with training.

This 5.14 km long road is used by more than 80% of the inhabitants of the Togolese capital. The new book is gradually changing Lomé's face. The evolution of the work on this artery with 9 major junctions, 7 of which have signal lights, reflects the willingness of the successful company to express its expertise in civil engineering. The main concern is to complete these developments which are of great importance for the various routes and networks (VRD) within the deadlines in accordance with the specifications. In view of the state of progress in the construction works, the Loméians are convinced that they are beginning to have confidence in African capabilities.

According to many well-informed observers of the BTP, the work accomplished is in line with the Togolese government's vision to improve the living environment of citizens. The residents of the roads under construction are responding favourably to this policy of rehabilitating the city, which starts with shovels and picks, with heavy vehicles.

For Ms. Badagnaki, who lives in the western part of the boulevard, EBOMAF carries out her task with diligence and full conscience. It notes the particularity of this company is in the absence of any mess within it. This riparian also salutes the good atmosphere created by the first manager as well with its workers and residents upon arrival at the site. "The CEO is very humble and very modest. While respecting each worker in his place, he makes no difference between leaders and maneuvers. Thus, after his departure, the work continues as it should. I'm gonna get him my hat. Such an attitude is rare in African companies," says Badagnaki.

The MRS firefighters of Kodjoviakopé, Atandji Kossivi and Adjeoda Mensah are already rubbing their hands because for a few weeks, the new road has been taken by many vehicles. This led to a very significant increase in turnover. "The progress of work on the Sapeur-pumpier/round-point kodjoviakopé axis has been so fast that we can no longer remember our time of inactivity. When we opened the works, skepticism was at its peak. Many residents expected more than one year of calvary. But within two months, the road freed. Bravo to EBOMAF!", they exclaim. This of of relief is also pushed by a Mototaxi driver: "J

If at least all companies, currently operating in the capital, could follow this step, Lomé will change in a blink of an eye. We feel quality in the work done on the boulevard du 13-Janvier". Even the sound of a bell among the users for whom the good signals given by the Burkinabe entrepreneur are precise and palpable: quality, speed and seriousness. The layout of the festive square, the covering of the Rue du CASEF leading to the former Presidency are among other actions that illustrate its dynamic of marking a good imprint of the reconstruction of Togo. "The work in erection forces admiration in view of the quality of the excavations, the prefabricated and stored pipes, the depth of the holes. We must believe that this society that reflects the pride of every African is able to challenge everyone.

This is the first time that a BTP company has been working in Togo. Everything is fast and well done," says an expatriate who demanded anonymity. The columns of the main media do not disappoint. "New expression", "Freedom", "Union", "Freed Magna", "The News", "Actu Express", "Courrier de la République" and "The Eveil of the Nation" are unanimous in their view that the EBOMAS company deserves the encouragement of the Togolese and above all of its government. In its publication of 13 May 2011, "L-Union" mentioned this as so striking as an appreciation: "The EBOMAF/ Ets Kara group and a Beninese company, ADEOTI, are the only ones whose merits are recognized by the Authority. EBOMAF has now reached spectacular rates and has taken a lead in the execution of its construction projects." Despite the forecast rains, EBOMAS reassured and agreed upon all Lomé capacities.

In a dossier produced by the National Television of Togo (TVT), the director of the works, Jean Claude Roche, states that the last rain did not have such an impact on the progress of the works. He reassured the Togolese authorities that his company was determined to officially return the work within the time limits.
