Construction of RN 24: The Cape is put on Lot 2, Borgou-Mandouri
The Dapaong-Borgou road development and continuity construction phase is underway. This Lot II of the National Road 24 modernization project covers about 50 kilometres between Borgou and Mandouri, on the Benin border. Work on this new section is well under way.
The construction site of the national road 24, Dapaong-Borgou-Mandouri, comprises two phases of execution. Lot 1 covers Dapaong-Borgou for more than forty-five (45) kilometres. The work has a satisfactory completion rate and the bitumen reaches more than half of the section. This makes it possible to launch with serenity the second batch between Borgou and Mandouri. The working methodology is in place and well oiled.
The new challenge is undertaken with the same training. The aim is to build a secondary road with the same technical characteristics as the Dapaong-Borgou road, which is the extension. The second batch consists of"the construction of a roadway with a width of thirteen (13) metres in agglomeration and ten (10) metres in agglomeration and a roadway covered by five (5) centimetres of bituminous concrete (BB) after the various base and foundation layers". In the image of Lot 1, the new section consists of several works including several dalots and two (2) bridges of twenty (20) metres each.
Since the signing of the service offer (OS) in early November, this new front has been opened with all self-denial to work of which only EBOMAF has the secret. An area is already set up for the life base and the first gears begin to take position throughout the section. Borrowing sites are also cleared. Large mounds of lateritis are visible in places. The construction site of Lot 2 of the Dapaong-Borgou-Mandouri road project is a reality."The second phase of construction of RN 24 is approached with the same serenity that has always prevailed in all the works carried out by EBOMAF. We have all the human, material and technical capabilities to honour our contracts",points out Samba Mody Ndiaye, Director of Works.
EBOMAF's P-DG Mahamadou Bonkoungou reviewed this new front on Sunday, November 3. With the management staff, the last adjustments were made in order to start the project on all sides. The visit of the first official of the successful undertaking comes in advance of the very forthcoming deployment of the workers and the material armada committed to the various tasks as well as the assignment of the taskmen and subcontractors. Like all other construction sites, the bet will be held for the Borgou-Mandouri yard following the traditional undertaking of the successful undertaking to always register the execution of its work in strict compliance with the contractual deadlines.
