EBOMAF-BENIN : The second bridge in Hevié illustrates a know-how in the field of art
The level of progress in the construction of the Cococodji-Hêvié-Ouèdo-Calavi Kpota road in the municipality of Abomey-Calavi is very satisfactory and continues to delight the people. To this satisfaction, add the one relating to the execution of the second bridge at the level of Hevié, juxtaposed to the first. This crossing, which is part of the duplication of the track, aims to improve traffic flow. The technicians are working on its implementation as soon as possible.
Supported by machines of last generation, they express another part of EBOMAF's know-how in the realization of art works. Through its technical data, the second bridge in Hevié appears to be one of the most important road infrastructure in southern Benin. According to Thierry Jabouret, head of works of art at EBOMAF, the second bridge of Hêvié has a length of 240 meters. It will rest on a hundred piles whose depths vary between 40m and 50m.
These have a diameter of 1.20 m at the base. From the partial point More than 70 piles, 5 piles, 5 soles, deer and one abutment have already been made. The beams are deposited on half of the structure. "We are doing everything we can to ensure that the deadline is met. We are putting all the strength to finish before the deadline. Thierry Jabouret is reassured.
The piles, the beams and the entire structure of the bridge are gradually rising under the admiration of users and residents. "After the construction of the first bridge in Hevié, it is true that our sorrows were greatly relieved. However, it must be recognized that it has proved very small for traffic density. When we learned that the government decided to build a second bridge to respect the doubling of the track, great was our joy," said a taxi-moto driver at the Cococodji junction. As for the evolution of the works, the latter does not hide his satisfaction: "We no longer doubt the ability of the company to perform any civil engineering task. She's already proven herself here in Benin. His expertise is highly appreciated and warmly welcomed in the construction of the double track that goes from hevié to Calavi-Kpota. We invite only to continue in this same dynamic."
