EBOMAF-TOGO: The 180-metre bridge gradually rises between Mandouri and the Benin border

Access to the Benin border from Mandouri will be easy in just a while. The main obstacle of crossing the river L-Oti will soon be a distant memory. A bridge of one hundred and twenty (180) linear meters is in the process of being created. The erection of this important crossing point currently requires all attention. Its implementation rate is currently estimated (NDLR: 20/05/2020) at 70%.

The bridge over the river L-Oti is part of the development and bitumage of the Mandouri-Frontière section of Benin, 7.5 km long, whose work constitutes the major activity. The implementation of this project consisted of preparatory work and the installation of worksites, earthworks, pavement and coating, drainage. Not to mention signs, road safety equipment and miscellaneous, bridge construction and environmental measures.

Like the Borgou-Mandouri yard, the Mandouri-Frontière of Benin also benefits from a strong mobilisation of the company. The overall rate of progress of the works is estimated at 51.61% as of 20/05/2020. The earthmoving and execution of the shape layer are 4.07 km or 55.80%.

The implementation of the Foundation of selected materials is carried out over 3.25 km or 43.33 %. The implementation of the basic layer of selected materials is 2.25 km or 30.30 %;

The tasks in progress are limited to the execution of the bridge with the casting of the spacers as well as that of the pipes from the PK0+300 to the PK0+650.
