Koudougou-Dédougou Road: A work in progress
The closure of the site of the national road 14, Koudougou-Dédougou only lasts a few days. Users who have taken the route in recent times have noticed: only a few kilometers and it's over for this ambitious project that de-enclaves both the regions of the West Centre and the Mouhoun Loop. The Dédougou portions at the Pont du Mouhoun and Koulkudi in Koudougou are ready. There's only a tiny part left.
The successful undertaking of the RN 14, EBOMAF, fulfils its part of the contract well, in great steps, in accordance with the specifications for the layout and the bitumen of the Koudougou-Dédougou axis, long for one hundred thirty (130) kilometres.
The project is being completed. The building is built as recommended by the contractor: the Burkinab State. It should be recalled that this project consists of the construction of a two-way track with a width of seven (7) and 1.5 metres in the field. This width increases to ten (10) metres in agglomeration. The aim is to provide this part of the country with a modern road infrastructure with international standards and a traffic dimension.
According to the option determined by the government of Burkina Faso for this modernization, the technical execution of the roadway involves a two-layer coating i.e. gravillage.
This activity, which crowns all other civil engineering tasks, has been spread almost throughout the entire section. The opening of the three large bridges (Lanfiera, Mouhoun, Tenado), one after the other, marks this inescapable walk towards the end of the tunnel. Not to mention the signs, placed at the places indicated. This aspect will be a stumbling block as long as the residents tear them out.
Approximately one hundred and fifty (150) sewerage works have been erected along this axis, the work of which is highly technical in view of the complexity of the land.
Once again, the layout and bitumen of the Koudougou-Dédougou road testifies to EBOMAF's reputation for carrying out very large works.
