EBOMAF-BF: The southern section of the bypass track already leads to RN6, Léo Road
The execution of the works of the North-South bypass road of the city of Ouagadougou is based on a well matured methodology and planning. The implementation of this large road project consists of two sections North and South, each of which represents an autonomous sub-project with its human, technical and material resources.
Under the direction of Inousa Ouedraogo, the southern section of the bypass road departs from RN 4, road from Fada NGourma, to Gampéla to RN 1, road from Bobo-Dioulasso, to Yimdi. It crosses RN 5, road from Po, to Koubri, the RN6, road from Leo. This southern section, which is 59 km long in total, is divided into three parts.
After sixteen (16) months of work, they all know a good training. The first, Gamplela-Koubri, is the longest 28 km, is almost finished. In a few days, a large roundabout will stand majestically on the RN5, a few blocks from Koubri.
The second section of the Koubri-RN6 stretch extends 13 km. On this portion, the earthworks are already half-way and the works are all finished. The third slice ranges from RN6 to RN1, Yimdi, 18 Km. At this level, the works are being erected with a view to completing them all by the end of June.
Overall, the section has an execution rate of more than 50%. Over a total of 59 kilometres, more than 35 km of earthworks are executed. On the 28-kilometre-long Ganpéla-Koubri section, which represents half of the southern section, the pavements, including the oil cover, are very advanced.
The whole foundation is entirely carried out on this whole slice. The serious bitumen (GB) is actually applied over 25 Km as long as the bituminous concrete (BB) is also a reality over 12 Km.
