EBOMAF-BENIN /Arouna Mouhamed, Director of Work: "Our reputation rests on the permanent culture of excellence"

EBOMAF arrived in Benin with the expression of all its capabilities. On the land of King Behanzin, the leadership of the Burkinabè company was brilliantly displayed in the world of the BTP to the point that it immediately convinced the highest authorities and the people of its know-how. Thus, with the execution of three flagship road projects, one of the key players in infrastructure development under the banner of the programme"Benin under construction"launched by President Thomas Boni Yayi. After leading the closure of the Kudougou-Dédougou road, the civil engineering engineer, Arouna Mouhamed is one of the craftsmen of this saga and skillfully maintains the company's reputation on various construction sites. As director of works, he laid the foundation for this reputation.

What can be remembered today from the presence of EBOMAF in the Beninese BTP universe?

The activities of EBOMAF in Benin are part of its overall mission to support African countries in their development efforts, particularly in the field of major road works. Our presence in this country is confirmed around three (3) projects. The first relates to 19.6 km of the Bondjecali-Madecali-Iloua-Frontière section of Nigeria: to develop and build a road with an oil coating.

DT IIAt present, the work is at its final stage with a completion rate of over 90%. Only the tasks of sanitation and signalling remain. We received a visit from the President of the Republic to this project last week. He welcomed the progress of work at its fair value. This has earned us great congratulations from him. The second market concerns the part of Parakou-Wèwè, seventy-three (73) km long, as part of the rehabilitation of the Parakou-Djougou axis. The project aims to strengthen the existing infrastructure by recycling the existing roadway through various pavements and an oil coating. It is in its initial phase, with an impressive deployment of personnel and equipment.

DT IVThe studies have been completed and the files are being refined for approval by the monitoring mission. The start of the work itself is imminent. The third market is the one launched in Lokossa in the Mono-Couffo department. It consists of the rehabilitation of the Comè-Lokossa-Dogbo road and the adaptation of the Zounhoué-Athièmè-Frontière of Togo from selected technical variants. The project will start shortly after the completion of the implementation file. We appreciate each of these projects as a new challenge that we approach with the same dynamism and serenity to deserve the trust placed in us.

How did you welcome the congratulations that President Thomas Yayi Boni personally addressed to EBOMAF on Sunday, August 31, during his visit to the Bondjecali-Madecali-Iloua-Frontière yard of Nigeria? What are the foundations of your company's reputation in both Benin and the sub-region?

DT IIIThis appreciation of the country's highest authority is a comfort for the company and an invitation to maintain the course of excellence in our sector of activity. EBOMAF's reputation lies in the leadership of its P-DG Mahamadou Bonkoungou. It is always keen to give its society a major role in the development of quality infrastructure in Africa. It has made it a priority to have qualified staff and adequate equipment on all its sites. This priesthood has provided Benineses with skilled human resources and a range of state-of-the-art equipment. Our reputation is based on this adequacy that President Thomas Yayi Boni saw visu during his visit to our site. He saw our frank mobilization in cohesion in the progress of work.

What assurance do you give to the inhabitants of the Mono-Couffo department about meeting the deadline for the construction site?

DT VWe used to do this kind of work. In Togo, we are on a front of several road projects reaching more than 500 kilometres. Some projects involving large-scale infrastructure are completed; Others are beating up. Several models of track construction are involved. They fit into the same dynamic. There is not this type of roadway that we cannot build. The human, material and technical capacities are brought together and constantly available. EBOMAF stands out for its technical approach of mobilizing appropriate personnel and equipment to ensure efficiency and performance in daily yields. This enables both time requirements and quality requirements to be met. In the execution of the work, we are guided by the permanent culture of excellence: the concern for quality and compliance with contractual deadlines.
