EBOMAF-BENIN: Missessinto-Zinvié-Sedjedenou-Zè evolves in serenity
As the earthmoving progresses at a very suitable pace, the platform of the Missessinto-Zinvié-Sedjedenou-Zè roadway is rapidly emerging on the 34 km stretch. Pending the convergence of views between the administration and the company on certain technical aspects, particularly in the localities of Misséssinto and Zinvié, the works are in full swing on the site.

The Tangbo-Zè-Sedjedenou-Zinvié-Missessinto bypass will soon be a reality. For a project that really started on 15 February 2017, the progress is remarkable. Last May, 22 km of earthworks are already effective, of which more than 12 km of platform acquired on the total length of the road which is 34 km. In the long term, the fully constructed section will be an infrastructure with the following characteristics: foundation of 20 cm, base in stabilized laterite of 20 cm, coating in bituminous concrete of 5 cm. After completing the Tangbo-Zè yard last January, EBOMAF is also working on the modernization of Missessinto-Zinvié-Sedjedenou-Zè in order to establish a link between Tangbo and Misséssinto by a way other than Nationale N°1.

From Zinvié base, a real jerk-down has been set up to hold this new bet. The concrete plant and the stock run at full speed. The edges, cantilevers and dallets are prefabricated in large quantities to supply not only Missessinto-Zinvié-Sedjedenou-Zè but also Cococodji-Hévié-Calavi-Ouedo-Kpéto. In addition, these two projects constitute a single road project. They run simultaneously. Despite the weather due to the installation of the rainy season in the south of Benin, the earthworks and hydraulic structures are still in a better position.

Under the supervision of the Director of Works, Elias Frans Djomatin, dedicated personnel and high-performance equipment were launched to attack the 34 Km axis in order to build it and to bitumen it. Of the 34 Dalots, more than 15 Dalots are currently finished. Most of the 42.8 km of girders to be erected is concentrated in the towns of Misséssinto and Zinvié. Apart from the difficulties related to the release of the rights-of-way in Missessinto and Zinvié, as well as the relocation of the networks and the bypass of the zigzag at the Zinvié market, no major constraints hinder the efficient and efficient progress of the site.
