EBOMAF-CI : Towards the end of the tunnel on Korhogo-Karakoro Airport
The final phase of the Korhogo-Karakoro-Airport road has begun in recent days with the application of bituminous concrete on the road. This step inevitably rings the very near end of this project.

After the earth-moving and sewerage works, the "Enromé" section of EBOMAF, composed mainly of Spaniards, is on foot to cover the 14,813 km of the section Korhogo-Karakoro-Bretelle Stadium Tar Concrete Airport (BB) of 5 cm thick. The 1.863 km junction leading to the airfield of the capital of the Poro region has been completely covered. The organ of the closure of the site is now played on the 12,950 km portion linking the Korhogo Stadium to the Karakoro sub-prefecture.

As of 17 December 2016, bituminous concrete (BB) was already applied between PK 00 and PK 8. Completion of the project is just a matter of a few days. The overall rate of completion of the work is over 90%. Night and day, the bitumen is full. It is with admiration and pride that the inhabitants of Korhogo as well as those of the riparian localities surveyed the totally ready parts of the road combining comfort and amenities for better road safety and ease in traffic.

This diligence, marked by a constant concern for quality, is the result of EBOMAF's remarkable impetus to ensure that its footprint is indelible on its first infrastructure in Ivory Coast. The timing and planning of the works were skillfully reconciled with a mobilization, never equalled, of human, material and technical capacities. The crossing structures (drums, bridges) mobilized two (2) crane trucks from Guinea-Conakry to reinforce the two already on site and a 100-ton PPM crane.

About 100 people were deployed around a park consisting of two bulldozers, 03 graders, 05 tire compactors, 02 loaders and many other machines. The finish involved 11 bananas, 6 bitumen thermal trucks, 02 finishers, 05 tire compactors and 02 P5. Once, the Korhogo-Karakoro-Bretelle Stade, the other part of EBOMAF's current presence in the Ivorian BTP, Ferké-Nassian-Kong will benefit from the redeployment of staff to open a third front from Sikolo.
