EBOMAF-GABON: Strategic Partnership Sealed to Unlock West Coast, Ntoum-Cocobeach
The curtain fell on doubt. On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Palais du Bord de Mer in Libreville, the President of the Republic, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, presided over the signing ceremony of a historic financing agreement. The contract covers the construction of the 83-kilometre Ntoum-Cocobeach road, worth CFAF 100 billion. A trio is now linked around the implementation of this ambitious project: the Gabonese state, the West African giant EBOMAF, and the BGFI Bank.
On the faces, they read the same pride. A South-South partnership that aims to be fruitful and exemplary. In the field, the work is already visible. According to engineers, the construction site currently has an estimated 40 per cent execution rate. And if the weather, including rainfall, does not scramble the maps, delivery could well arrive before the contractual deadlines.

For the President of the Gabonese Republic, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, this is a major step forward: "This project is a direct response to people's expectations," he said. Indeed, the road will open up a strategic area, with strong tourism, economic and social potential. Service stations, banks, microfinances, hotels, weekly markets, leisure... Projections go well beyond bitumen.
A financial partner of the project, the General Director of BGFI Bank also sees it as "an opportunity to drive a new development dynamic alongside the state". The President and CEO of the EBOMAF Group, Mahamadou Bonkoungou, did not hide his satisfaction: "We are ready to go further with Gabon. This trust honors us."

Launched on 16 October 2024, the Ntoum-Cocobeach road project opens a new chapter for EBOMAF in Central Africa. In addition to this project, there are other major contracts: the construction of 208 km of roads on the Lébamba - Mbigou routes 84 km long and Mbigou - Malinga - Molo-Frontier Congo 124 km long, then those on Yombi - Mandji-Carrefour Rabi 125 km long and on Carrefour Rabi -Omboué 119 km long. A coup de maître for the Burkinabe leader of the BTP which, with this work, marks a strategic anchor in a region in search of great builders.
