EBOMAF - DIVOIRE COAST : It moves on both fronts
The indicators for the implementation of the Ferkessédougou-Nassian-Kong and Karakoro-Airport (Korhogo) road improvement and paving project are promising. As of April 28, 2016, several milestones had already been reached in the construction of these two major infrastructure projects, totaling 136 kilometers and funded with a total of 83 billion CFA francs (see images).
EBOMAF-CI is taking no chances in the execution of its first contract in Côte d'Ivoire. There is a real flurry of activity on the two sections concerned: Ferkessédougou-Nassian-Kong (121 km) and the Karakoro-Airport (15 km) road, for a total amount of 83 billion CFA francs. Since the start of the project, the company has been working tirelessly to meet the specifications in terms of both quality of work and deadlines. Under the coordination of Aboubacar Ouédraogo, more than 150 people are mobilized on both fronts, in Ferkessédougou and Korhogo, to meet this challenge. Overall, the work is progressing well.
On the 121-kilometer Ferkessédougou-Nassian and Nassian-Kong spur road construction site, the general site setup is 75% complete and the delivery of equipment is 70% complete. The installation of the monitoring team is 80% complete. The execution plans have already been approved for the first 20 kilometers. As for the asphalt plant, it is 80% complete and the crushing plant is 100% complete. Clearing is complete from kilometer point (PK0) to kilometer point (PK40) in Ferkessédougou and from PK99 to PK119 in Kong. Stripping is also complete from PK0 to PK30 in Ferkessédougou and is currently underway from PK109 to PK119 in Kong. Earthworks have been completed from PK0 to PK15 and are continuing from PK15 to PK20+500. The supply and placement of the sub-base layer are underway from PK1+700 to PK3+300.

There is real momentum at the Stade-Airport-Karakoro road construction site. On this 15-kilometer section, site setup is 100% complete, with 70% of the equipment delivered. The execution plans are fully approved, and clearing is a reality across the entire site. Stripping is 100% complete and earthworks are 99.5% complete. The foundation layer supply extends over a length of 3,875 meters. The supply for the airport access road extends from kilometer point 0+100 to kilometer point 1+750. For the drainage component, the layout and excavation are complete for all culverts. Pouring (blind concrete, foundation slab, and side walls) is currently underway. The construction of drainage channels is complete over 1,017 linear meters out of a total of 7,464 meters.
Experienced personnel and an impressive number of machines of various types and sizes are at work. Fourteen teams are specifically assigned to drainage works: drainage channels, culverts, and underpasses. The Chairman and CEO of the EBOMAF Group, Mahamadou Bonkoungou, has made the execution of works in Côte d'Ivoire a personal commitment to which he dedicates himself wholeheartedly. His managerial leadership is undeniable at all levels, ensuring better working conditions on the construction sites. The remarkable results achieved in such a short period bode well for the implementation of this ambitious project of the Ivorian government. A highly skilled workforce and an impressive number of machines of various types and sizes are at work. Fourteen teams are specifically assigned to sanitation works: drainage ditches, culverts, and box culverts.
