EBOMAF-GABON: between social dialogue, rigour and commitment, construction sites keep the course
On the various projects led by the EBOMAF Group in Gabon, activities continue in a generally stable climate, despite some recent social tensions among staff.
According to internal sources, salaries continue to be paid on a regular basis and no late payment has been recorded, thus helping to preserve the serenity of the teams and the continuity of the work. In keeping with the managerial vision driven by its President and CEO Mahamadou Bonkoungou, the EBOMAS Group favours an approach based on listening, dialogue and the constant search for concerted solutions.

Discussions with workers focused on certain claims relating to social rights, including the payment of leave. On this issue, management ensures that arrangements are already under way to bring about the necessary adjustments as soon as possible.
As a result of discussions between the parties, a gradual return to calm is observed at the sites concerned. EBOMAF-BTP, however, recalls that the smooth running of the work requires strict compliance with internal rules and professional requirements.
According to management, some isolated behaviour has disrupted the organisation of the construction sites, including unjustified absences, non-conforming uses of the company's equipment and fuel diversion. The company states that such acts expose their perpetrators to disciplinary sanctions up to dismissal, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force.

In the same spirit, awareness-raising activities are regularly organised among teams to enhance understanding of internal rules of operation, promote values of responsibility and consolidate the discipline necessary for the success of projects. The EBOMAF Group also ensures that all social obligations are met.
Staff are reported to the competent bodies and social contributions, notably to CNSS and CNAMGS, are regularly covered. The wage gap is already in place for administrative staff and is gradually spreading for field teams.
According to management, this transition momentarily explains the absence of some printed bulletins, a situation that will be quickly normalized.
Despite these specific tensions, EBOMAS BTP reaffirms its confidence in social dialogue as the main lever of stability and performance.
The Group remains fully engaged with the Gabonese authorities to ensure the continuity and effective implementation of the structural projects committed to the development of Gabon's infrastructure.
