Construction of the Koudougou-Dédougou road: About 20 kilometers to close everything

The modernization of the Koudougou-Dédougou road has returned to its last straight line between the PK 24 and the PK 43. Of the one hundred and thirty (130) kilometers to be built, only this portion of about twenty kilometers has not yet received the bilayer. The project is inexorably at its final stage.

More than twenty kilometers to run and that's to finish! A clear sign of this remarkable progress in the execution of the RN 14 project, the two toll stations which are fifteen (15) kilometres from Koudougou and ten (10) kilometres from Dédougou respectively. For a period of official closure of the construction site which runs until the end of November 2013, it can be said, high and strong, that the construction and development of the Koudougou-Dédougou section is almost complete. Users of this route so vital for the opening up of the regions of the West Centre and the Mouhoun Loop had to see: there is more to it.

From Koudougou, it is a section of about twenty-four (24) kilometres which is fully ready. From Dédougou, the road is modernized over eighty seven (87) kilometres. One hundred and eleven (111) kilometers already acquired. The calvary to reach the city of Bankuy gradually becomes an old memory. The new carriageway with international standards offers better traffic amenities and road safety guarantees. This saves time.

While waiting for the 20 km between the PK 24 and PK 43 to be grazed, the entire section is modernised on both sides of this section where the successful firm is playing its part. Following the earth-moving phase, activities are currently concentrated around the preparation of the pavement layers. The equipment assigned to the gravillage is stationed at PK 43, waiting for the final assault. All measures shall be taken to achieve an infrastructure which complies, to the letter, with the specifications. Nothing is left to chance. A quality work is waiting to be delivered in the coming months.

The last wave down between Koudougou-Dédougou sounds good that of a construction site in the process of completion. The three large bridges of Lanfiéra, Mouhoun and Tenado as well as the one hundred and fifty (150) Dalots are connected to the roadway. Subcontractors are active in the implementation of stone masonry on the sides of art and sanitation works. A team of about ten people is about to delimit the two directions of the roadway. White marking is done with modern means that are nowhere on a roadworks in Burkina Faso. EBOMAF printed on the RN 14 a part of its knowledge about this type of roadwork: graveling or bilayering.
