EBOMAF-BF : Ouagadougou North-South bypass site has 41% completion rate in eight (8) months
The huge North-South bypass site in Ouagadougou is moving ahead. Started on 1andOctober 2019, all indicators are currently green. The structure of the infrastructure is already displayed between Koubri on the RN05 and Pabré on the RN22, which is 54 km long where the earthworks and works of art are almost completed. The overall implementation rate is more than convincing: 41% volume of work performed in only eight (08) months.
This never equalled prowess in the implementation of a road project required an impressive deployment of human, material and technical resources and an organisation and working methodology combining dynamism, efficiency and performance. Around a thousand workers and hundreds of all types of vehicles are mobilized around the works.
Placed under the general coordination of Firmin Camille Combary, the implementation of the project to develop and complete the North-South bypass motorway of the city of Ouagadougou builds on the know-how that a leading company has forged in the major works for some 30 years.
Conducted on two fronts with the starting point, Gampéla on the RN04, the works of the Contouring Nord under the coordination of Martin Diabri and those of the Contouring Sud under the leadership of Inousa Ouedraogo know the same lead in their realization.
Surrounding the capital by the North, the first 55,175 Km subchanter from Gampera on the RN04 to Yimdi on the RN01 passing Loumbila (RN03), Pabré (RN22), Sabtenga (RN02). On the south side of the city of Ouagadougou, the second sub-chanier, 58 Km long also leaves from Gampera on the RN04 to Yimdi on the RN01 passing Koubri (RN05) and the route of Leo (RN06).
The seven (7) intersections will be equipped with great giratory directional braces and ilots. Those of Gamplela and Loumbila are very advanced. On both sides, earthworks and art works are in full swing. All activities are carried out concurrently. The earthworks and works of art are half done on the entire road project.
The application of bitumen in particular the serious bitumen (GB) has even begun between the RN03 and the RN04 for a distance of seven (7) km. Three (3) life bases are located in Gamplela, Pabré and Koubri. They house equipment (machines, machinery, trucks), facilities (concrete and coated plants) and pre-fabrication sites for cans and dalots. The granite crushing quarry installed in Kombissiri runs at full speed.
