EBOMAF-BTP : About ten double klinkers coupled to MAN tractors for more performance on construction sites
EBOMAF is one of the first African construction companies to introduce MAN tractor trucks with double semi-trailers to its worksites. Each truck is equipped with two tipper clinker trucks with a combined load of one hundred and twenty (120) tons. This new equipment will accelerate work efficiency, particularly the transport of aggregates such as untreated gravel and asphalt.
The issue of supplying materials from quarries and processing plants, a thorny problem on worksites in Côte d'Ivoire due to the remoteness of the sites, is about to be resolved. True to its commitment to regularly strengthening its fleet of state-of-the-art equipment, the Chairman and CEO, Mahamadou Bonkongou, has just made an exceptional acquisition. A dozen MAN tractor trucks with double semi-trailers will soon be put into service on the Ferkessédougou-Nassian-Kong project.
Indeed, the arrival of the ten or so clinker trucks will allow for the efficient and effective application of untreated aggregate (GNT) and asphalt. This is especially important given that 3,800 tons of GNT are required to create one kilometer of compacted road, 15 cm thick and 12 meters wide. Each MAN tractor truck, with its double semi-trailer equipped with thirty-four (34) wheels and measuring twenty-five (25) meters in length, has a payload capacity of one hundred and twenty (120) tons per trip.
The clinker trucks unload their contents to the side. Their arrival at the Ferkessédougou-Nassian-Kong construction site is a welcome boost for the execution of the work. The project is being carried out simultaneously at both ends, namely Ferkessédougou and Kong. Meanwhile, while awaiting the opening of a second granite quarry in Kong, its base camp is located more than 120 kilometers from the aggregate supply site.
In its drive to become a leader in its field, EBOMAF has established itself as the pioneer of MAN tractor trucks with double semi-trailers on the African continent. Departing from Benin, these exceptional trucks made stops at the Kanté base camp in Togo and the former Liza Transport International (LTI) station in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. From the tollbooth to the parking lot, the new-generation trucks drew admiration on the streets of the Burkinabe capital. Their size and technology impressed both commuters and local residents alike, showcasing this entrepreneurial achievement in the construction industry.
