EBOMAF-TOGO : Kanté-Tandjouare displays a new skin
476 Km from Lomé, the capital, starts the innovative project of rehabilitation of a portion of the national road 1 over a length of 130 Km. To date, all implementation indicators are green. To the total satisfaction of road hauliers between Togo and the countries of the hinterland.
Much of the Kanté-Tandjouaré section now offers all the amenities of a modern national road and community standards. Traffic easily lends a road 10 metres wide in the countryside and 11 metres wide in the urban areas. It is equipped with a pavement consisting of a foundation layer of 20 centimetres thick laterite selected and improved with cement, the Grave bitumen 10 centimetres thick of the last layer of tar concrete 5 centimetres thick and 7 meters wide.
The users of the Togolese corridor are the first to establish this pleasant observation. " After more than 35 years on the roads of the West African subregion, I am proud to name EBOMAF, the world's road leader. Since 2012 when we have been freed from the Cinkassé-Tandjouaré road that I use, this road still holds without any crack despite all the heavy goods vehicles that travel on this road day and night. Almost ten (10) years ago, the track remained intact. This is evidence that the work was carried out in accordance with Art. EBOMAF has done quality work; it deserves the confidence of decision-makers on the continent », notes Soumeïla Bayi, a 65-year-old road carrier.
In spite of these reasons for satisfaction, the construction site which has been resumed is still in full swing. The task team does not decelerate in the performance of the remainder of the work. The final assault is carried out in the Mango agglomeration where there are only four (4) kilometres left to complete the project. EBOMAF, which has already deployed a whole arsenal for this purpose, waits for the effective displacement of electricity and water networks to begin this final phase.. "Since the resumption of work on Kanté-Tandjouaré, it is a real relief for all users of this road. We only request more parking space along National Highway 1 to further fluidize traffic.", pleads Mr Bayi.
Under the leadership of the project coordinator Oumar Bonkoungou dit Bao, the same dynamism is maintained from end to end in perfect collaboration the national laboratory of building and public works. The concentration of tasks around the Mango toll marks the first and last phase of this project of 130 kilometres. On the recommendation of the Director General of Public Works (DGTP), Mr. Amah, asphalt is carefully spread in order to avoid the erosion of the roadway in the long term through the flow of trucks toll.

GTAH's monitoring mission and project management by Niangadou Amadou ensures that the infrastructure meets UEMOA standards and standards. The Togolese government is already rubbing its hands and is looking forward to receiving this road, which serves both Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.
