Koudougou-Dédougou axis: Bitumage inspires joy in the Boulkiemdé

Started several weeks ago, the 130-kilometre bitumage entrusted to the company EBOMAF gradually extends from Dédougou to Koudougou. In view of this fact, users and transporters are already happy with the construction of this road, so much demanded by the people of both countries. In the capital of Boulkiemdé, much hope surrounds this project.

Since the start of the construction and development of the Koudougou-Dédougou road, on Saturday 29 May 2010 in the city of Bankuy, the inhabitants of the city of Maurice Yaméogo have observed with joy and hope the frequent and permanent passage of large vehicles stamped EBOMAS committed to the task. The ballet of all this armada of civil engineering machines convinced of the effectiveness of the execution of a project that only lasted too long and dispelled the doubts that have long maintained the users. The many transporters and travellers who join Koudougou are very eloquent attest that the work has indeed begun on the side of Dédougou and is moving forward considerably.

All are excited to see the deadline of execution, thirty (30) months to forget the ordeal of this defective 130-kilometre stretch. The only view of the bitumen from the Boucle du Mouhoun, the only observation of the road that blackens as it progresses makes the inhabitants of the towns crossed and joined. Conducted under the guidance of knowledgeable technicians and engineers, the work progresses as normal as EBOMAF can prove. The mountains are thus flattened, the works begin to take shape.

The Koudougou-Dédougou axis is constructed calmly according to international standards. The successful company is a wonderful example of its missions and all Koudougou is talking about its know-how to offer an easy way to trade between the two cities.

The twinning of the national road 14 is a development issue for Dédougou as well as Koudougou. Its economic importance is no longer to be demonstrated for the two regions concerned: the Boucle du Mouhoun and the Centre Ouest.

It crosses the three provinces of Boulkiemdé, Sanguié, Mouhoun and its finish remains much expected by the different populations. "We know the agricultural potential of the Boucle du Mouhoun while our region has a commercial vocation," says Théophile Zongo, President of the West Central Regional Council. This dependence, established by the first local elected representative of this territorial community, demonstrates the interest of the construction of this road in trade.

When finished, Koudougou-Dédougou also opens an ideal strap or even a shortcut to join Bobo-Dioulasso. "We have complete confidence in EBOMAF to achieve a road to standards within the required time frame. He has the capacity and elsewhere, his founder also expects a lot from this path since he himself is from Dédougou and owns a transport company. He'll need it for his travels and business. So in many ways, EBOMAF will serve us a quality job," he adds. The high potential for opening up this section and its regional character will certainly improve the existing level of service and that of user comfort.

Travellers even hope for a reduction in the cost of transport and even of transport time thanks to this bitumen. And some carriers believe this is possible in view of the modernised state of the road. "At present, we cannot buy new vehicles because of the bad road that does not make it possible to profitable before total depreciation. We fall back on the Au revoir la France vehicles, which have a fairly limited service life," said Alassane Zongo, Secretary General of the provincial section of Boulkiemdé of the Organisation des transporteurs du Faso (OTRAF).

He was pleased that the sentence of his members would be reduced to its simplest expression at the end of the work. He likes to spread out his content to repeat that the work was entrusted to one of their own. In addition to the Building and Public Works (BTP), the EBOMAF group also intervenes in the transport of people and goods through its company "Liza-Transport" which serves Dédougou from the capital via Koudougou. In this privileged position, the president of the Central-West Regional Council, Théophile Zongo, rose: "The capital of my region will be given a status as an essential crossroads with the development of the national 14.

The inhabitants of the Boulkiemdé are unanimous on the strategic and integrative character of the Koudougou-Dédougou-Nouna-Djibasso-border axis of Mali favored by the development of the first route which the expertise of the company EBOMAS will contribute to fluidify. "We will go to Mali and Malian trucks will pass through Koudougou instead of Ouagadougou-Bobo-Dioulasso-Mali which is longer," recalls the Secretary General of the OTRAF. The long-awaited bitumen of Dédougou by the people of the other end promises to be the one that will thus promote integration between peoples and their economies.

" The more people move, the more experience they gain in order to participate effectively in development actions," convinced Zongo. In addition to these, the authorities and transporters are so hopeful about the work.

Faithful to his image as a good work brand, EBOMAF is doing on the ground to give the best of himself to respect the terms contract with all his proven professionalism. In chorus the carriers want "this good work to open up prospects for the allocation of other such important projects in the region and throughout the national territory". Until March 2012 for the delivery of the track.
