Rehabilitation of the Kanté-Tandjouaré section: The construction site is a wonder for the Minister of Public Works

An important part of the rehabilitation of the Togolese corridor is between Kanté and Tandjouaré. Together with Tandjouaré-Cinkansé, the works are in full swing on this section, which is more than one hundred and thirty kilometres long. A high-level inspection carried out on the site on Tuesday 22 January by the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Ninsao Gnofam, was able to get to this point: the work is being rehabilitated with complete satisfaction only three (3) months after the start of the work.

EBOMAF has given no respite in carrying out the rehabilitation work of the Kanté-Tandjouaré section. In just three months of execution, the construction site shows forecasts beyond expectations: 100% installation of the offices, the site laboratory, the mobilization of staff (framework) and equipment. Indicators that contribute to achieving an overall rate of progress of around 17% at present.

In view of the constant movement of machinery and good results achieved within a period of time, the Head of the Audit Office, Groupement GTAH-SOCETET, Ousmane Dicko, did not fail to mention to the Minister of Public Works and his successor the dynamism of the successful undertaking and the unrivalled effort it is making to carry out this road project of vital importance to the Togolese government within the time constraints.

His presentation showed that thirty (30) dalots on the one hundred and thirty (117) were already closed. The enlargement phase of the platform shows the same enthusiasm. A significant advance already gives an idea of the final physiognomy of the work.

After an end-to-end visit to the rehabilitation section, the technical data on the development of the infrastructure are corroborated by the findings on the ground of the minister and his delegation. The Togolese government's emissary did not negotiate its satisfaction"It is very encouraging to note, only three (3) months after the launch that the company responsible for the work joins the speech. This route is very crucial for Togo and the countries of the hinterland, which is why a large-scale undertaking was needed to implement this project quickly.".

A member of Ninsao Gnofam's sequel was able to stop saying: "Ah! This company just surprises everyone. Look! Despite the difficulties in moving networks, the company is making progress in its tasks. All these performances convince the authorities to give it credit on its capacities actively participate in the implementation of its policy of opening up and modernising road infrastructures".

All the company's civil engineering skills are currently spreading their expertise on Kanté-Tandjouaré. They proudly express the twenty-five (25) years of EBOMAF's experience in major works.

As on the Cinkanssé-Tandjouaré axis, the rehabilitation of the second section of the RN 1 Togolese covers the widening of the platform with a layer of foundation of laterite stabilized in cement floor, a base layer of Grave Bitumen (GB) and a asphalt concrete coating (BB). It is planned to last thirty-six (36) months.
